Dare to Flare

Whilst I lie in bed and procrastinate getting up for college, I thought I'd write another outfit post, that's almost a week late...  My weekend outfit!

Missguided have had so many super cute ranges lately, and I indulged, as you may have noticed by all my posts, and I definitely could not pass up this play suit! It's absolutely gorgeous and I love how floaty it is and even better: it has flares.  It's got a crossed v neck at the front of the dress that isn't overly revealing, however the material is see through so if you're going to wear a bra, black or nude would probably be best in this play suit!  It's scarf print and is focused around 3 main, simplistic colours: black, white, and royal blue.  I paired the play suit with my heeled shoes from Public Desire, I can't remember the name of them I'll have to look it up...  Then I curled my hair, and for my makeup used the Urban Decay electric palette with the blue hues, and the Urban Decay smokey palette to smoke everything out, then 'cherish' by Mac on my lips for a more natural look!

Autumn Outfit Post #3

An Autumn day was officially warmer than most of the Summer, despite the breeze.  What's with that Britain?  When I saw that it was going to be 21 degrees today I saw the perfect opportunity to wear my new denim dress from Missguided, and it got a lot of compliments to my surprise!  This is one of my favourite pieces I bought on my little 'shopping spree' last weekend, and I was happy to finally be able to wear it.  When I bought it I pictured it with woolen tights, chunky Chelsea boots and a wool knit black cardigan.  But the weather caused me to wear the dress so minimally and I regret it.

The denim dress from Missguided is super comfortable, the material isn't heavy denim but it's not made from the denim you would expect on your jeans.  It's more airy, but there is no give what so ever in the material, but the only place this was a problem was around the boobs (well, a problem for me.) It has a denim belt to singe you in at the waist, which is a huge help because the dress has an A line cut and doesn't allow any curves what so ever without the belt.  It also helps to make your waist look skinnier, but it was a little too high for me, I'd have liked it to be a little lower!  It's long sleeved and buttons all the way up and down to the collar so it's easy to squeeze into and could even be used as a coat or a jacket with a different outfit!  I paired my dress with my Chelsea boots from New Look that I purchased over 3 years ago so who know's if they're still going!  But they're my autumn essential and I love to show them love.  During the day, I did have my hair in a low bun but as you can tell, I took my hair out by the time I got home.  I wore a huge winged liner on my face using my favourite eyeliner gel; Estee Lauder Stay Onyx, and a nude pink lip from Mac (Creme Cup) so I did not feel 'autumny' at all.  But I love the dress so it's okay, and there are plenty more days in Autumn where I can style this to my hearts desire!

Autumn Outfit Post #2

Today was a very minimal day, but it was warm so it was welcomed!

Anyhow, I'm hoping to begin to get a lot more better quality photos than the ones I'm posting currently because lets face it, they're rubbish.  But that's what I have to work with for now!

I decided to wear my 70's style Burgundy Vest top from Missguided.  I absolutely love the fit of this top, and disclaimer* your boobs do not "fall out of the top."  It's not amazing when accompanied by a bra because the spaghetti straps are narrow and close to the neck, but who cares.  Why pay Victoria's Secret prices for it to be kept a secret, every girl wears a bra.  I love the autumnal colours in this vest top, burgundy, deep brown and orange.  The material is very unique also, it clings to the skin however it's not smooth, it's a rough material.  Kind of like a table cloth... (Good descriptive skills)  I paired my loved table cloth top with my High Wasted Dark Blue Joni Jeans from Topshop.  These are literally the best jeans!  They're so comfortable and there's so much room to move around in them, and I just love the fact they cover my belly, because I hate my belly so it's a win win situation!  I'm also loving the deep blue colour of jeans lately, maybe it's because it's darker than acid wash and I like my dark colours, who knows!  On my size 6 whoppers I wore my fake Timberland style boots from Primark (bargain.) They're not as nice as real Timberlands, obviously, but they do the job if you don't get a huge pay check!  I quickly shoved my hair into a plait, it kind of made me feel like I lived on a farm.  But I like animals so the vibe was great.  On my face I slapped on some Mac eyeshadow in the shade Cranberry and Rule in my crease and dusted some gold eyeshadow from Urban Decay over my entire lid.  Added my huge winged liner then once again my favourite fall lipstick, Mac Diva.  When I went out of the house I threw on a Black Knitted Cardigan from Missguided and also my Black Minimal Leather Bucket Bag once again and I was ready for college!
